Welcome to
Trashi Ganden Choepel Ling Tibetan Buddhist Centre

This site is a work in progress, please excuse any errors of excess or omission

May I always in all ways bring,
Help and happiness to all sentient beings.

From "The Precious Garland" by Nagarjuna

We are a Buddhist centre based in Glenfield, Auckland since 2003. As followers of the Mahayana tradition that has passed down to us from the Buddha through the lineage masters of India and then Tibet, we hope to encourage the study and practice of Buddhism in its fullness as a religious tradition, philosophy of reality, and science of mind. Our ultimate goal is to benefit all beings by supporting them to reach their best-self state - to realise their potential to be a fully awakened Buddha.

The shrine room of Trashi Ganden Choepel Ling. There are brocade banners hanging from the ceiling. A golden Buddha statue dressed in robes and holding a bowl is housed inside a carved shrine. Tibetan Buddhist scriptures including the Kangyur and Tengyur are also on the shrine. Photos of the Dalai Lama and Za Choeje Rinpoche are placed on thrones. A statue of Lama Tsongkhapa, Gyaltsab Je and Khedrup Je are on one side, a memorial stupa (reliquary) of Geshe Palden Tsering is on the other side. There are various offerings of flowers, candles, fruit and decorations.
